This is Quox whom I've adopted as my email handle (quox@att.net). Quox is a character in the 36 original books of the Wizard of OZ from 1900 to 1942. Quox is a friendly blue dragon who wears pearls. In this particular illustration, Quox is opening a locket that contains magic pills that stop the evil Gnome King in his tracks.

My grandfather gave the original books to my mom who then gave them to me. That's what I grew up reading. Along with other fairy tale books. No wonder...

Quox took all his friends down into the subterranean world to confront the Gnome King. You are all with me starting tomorrow as I jump into this war of the cells. In this corner, we have the bioengineered fighter T-cells. In the other corner, the cancerous myeloma cells.
